Blog’s have a notoriously low opt in rate. A good blog will make up for this by having more traffic then a dedicated lead capture page.

This is a video showing you my exact method for posting many free ads to facebook group walls without making facebook angry and is the best method i’ve come across.

Some people don’t like these text ads because they can clog up a group’s wall. I used to be on the fence about this but then I tried posting some ads for myself and got some leads from it! Thought I’d let you in on a little trick that I’ve come across for marketing and networking on facebook. It’s dead simple and works.

What you do is put an apostrophe in front of your profile name. Simple huh?

Why?

When you do this, you will show up at the top of friend lists which puts you in the forefront of fellow facebook users’ minds.

I know it seems too simple to have any effect, but it does. When I first implemented this, I got more friend requests, I got more people sending me messages, and I got more people chatting to me. In short, I was able to interact and connect with more people which is what facebook is all about.

To do this just click on the “Settings” link at the top right of a facebook page. You will then see a page with a list of things you can change. At the top is “Name”. Click on the “Change” link to the right of this. All you have to do then is put an apostrophe in front of your name and click “Change Name” – Done!

You should start to see a rise in the amount of people trying to contact and connect with you within the week.

If you are new to marketing online, List Builders are one of the best ways to get started. They are so quick and easy to use and can get you great results in a short space of time.

What Are List Builders?

List builders are web programs that have members that you can send emails out to. By signing up, you also become a member and will receive other members emails (you should use a separate email account because of this). To send out emails you need a certain amount of credits. You can earn credits by opening up emails and clicking on ads etc. Or you can pay for an account upgrade which will allow you to send out a certain amount of emails whithout having to earn credits. You can also pay for one off mailings.

Why Should I Use List Builders?

Online marketing can be daunting and overwhelming for newbies and it’s easy to get discouraged. This makes it important to get the ball rolling with something that virtually anyone can do. And using list builders is just about the easiest marketing method I know of. All you have to do is come up with a marketing email (doesn’t have to be very long), or you can even source sample emails (just make sure you have permission to use them).

The other great benefit of using list builders is that you can start getting results almost immdiately unlike other low or no cost marketing methods such as social or content marketing. If you have a decent email and a decent lead capture page, you can easily generate more than 5 leads per mailing in a very short amount of time.

How Should I Use List Builders?

You can use list builders to market just about anything. You could send an email out asking for people to become your freind on facebook if you wanted. The most common and probably most effective way of marketing with list builders is to write a good, engaging email with a strong call to action that directs them to a lead capture page so that you can build your own list (which is surely the point of a list builder).

Another thing you could do, is send them to an interesting and helpful article on your blog (you still have to “sell” the email to get them to go to your blog). Just keep in mind that blogs have lower opt-in rates than landing pages so it might not be as effective.

You could also send them straight to a sales page for the possibility of an instant sale. But it’s usually better to get them into your list and market a product to them later after you’ve built a relationship with them.

The most effective way of improving your results with list builders is simply to write better emails. Being able to write good, effective marketing emails is definitely a skill worth having, so you should always be working on it. The better your email, the better your results will be. The first step is to get people to actually open the email, so make sure your headlines are catchy.

What List Builder Should I Use?

Im my experience, the best list builders are ViralURL followed by ListJoe as they seem to have the best response rates. They are both free to join and use. Like other list builders you have to earn credits to send out emails to other members. In addition to sending out emails, you can use credits to have your own banner and text ads displayed. Plus ViralURL has the ability to cloak links (for affiliate marketing etc).

However in my opinion the value is in the upgrades that they offer. It is $197 for a year for either of them. For that you can send 10 emails per month (an email every 3 days) to 3000 random members. So that’s 120 mailings per year to 3000 members each mailing.

If you averaged 5 leads per email you will get 600 leads over the course of a year. This works out to be less than 33 cents a lead! Try doing that with Pay Per Click. If you were to use a funded proposal in conjunction with that (if you don’t know what a funded proposal is, I wrote an article on them at my blog), you could completely cancel out the cost per lead to $0.

Summary

Whether you are marketing a cheap ebook or an expensive Top Tier Network Marketing Opportunity, Listbuilders are one of the easiest ways to get leads and sales. Study some good emails and then write your own and you could be getting well over 5 leads per mailing very inexpensively.

Twitter is an excellent tool that can be used to help your MLM business. I covered how to get followers for you MLM in a previous article. So now that you’ve got some followers, what should you be tweeting? Read on to find out.

What To Tweet.

When you first start on Twitter, it can be hard to know what to tweet about. I knew this was a dilemma for me when I first started. Some people do constant updates of what they are doing, while others spam whatever it is they are trying to market. Obviously I don’t recommend spamming when it comes to Twitter or anything else for that matter. But you want to promote you or your business at some point otherwise you won’t get any traffic from twitter.

Just because you’re in MLM, that doesn’t mean you have to tweet about MLM exclusively. You will come across as being one dimensional and it will be obvious to everyone that you’re only on Twitter to promote your MLM. Instead you should tweet about and link to interesting articles, blog posts, videos and even photos you’ve come across. I’m not saying you shouldn’t tweet about MLM at all, because you should to a degree. But you don’t want to tweet about MLM and nothing else. You need to mix it up with other generic content that would interest you or other people such as news, gossip, something funny, or something informative. Because they are using Twitter, they will probably also be interested in content about Twitter or other forms of Social media.

In addition to these generic tweets, blend in some promotional tweets. The ratio of regular content to promotional content should not exceed 5:1. In other words you should only do one tweet about promotional content (content that promotes you or your opportunity) per 5 tweets about regular content (interesting articles you’ve come across etc)

The two best types of promotional tweets are either tweets that link to a post on your blog or tweets that link to a webinar. You can also tweet a link to your landing page, but this is more aggressive so caution is advised. If you want to tweet to a landing page, only do it once per day.

Obviously you don’t want to just tweet a link with no text. You need to include some text that tells your followers what they will find if they click on the link. I guess you’re basically creating a headline for the link, so make it catchy so people will want to click on the link.

When To Tweet.

There’s no point doing all these tweets if no one is online to read them. Here are the best times to tweet.

• Weekdays are the best days of the week, particularly Tuesday & Wednesday.
• Sunday is the worst day to tweet (but the best day to follow). So if you want to take a break from tweeting, then Sunday would be the day to do it.
• Afternoon is the best time of day to tweet, from about noon to 3pm.
• Night time is also very good for tweeting (approx. 8pm – 11pm)
• Mornings aren’t as good but are still worthwhile.

You never know when your followers are going to be online so you might as well tweet 7 days a week. It doesn’t take up too much time so there’s no real reason not to. If you are strapped for time, you can also outsource this work as it’s pretty straight forward to do.

Finding Content To Tweet

The two main sources I use for sourcing content are Google Alerts and StuffToTweet.com. Google Alerts basically alerts you about content relating to specific keywords that you want to search for. Google Alerts is good because you can choose the topic that you want to receive content on. Also, it is sent straight to your email, so you don’t have to go looking for it. Go to www.google.com/alerts and type in something that you want to receive content about. So if you wanted to be alerted to content relating to Ferrari, you would put “Ferrari” in the search box and you would receive all the articles, videos, blog posts etc that relate to Ferrari. Below the search box, choose “comprehensive” so you get a mix of media formats and also select to receive the content “once a day”.

www.StuffToTweet.com is also great because it is exactly what you are looking for. As the name suggests, the website shows stuff that would be good to tweet. It shows what’s popular so you don’t have to worry about whether other people will like it or not. Simply go to www.StuffToTweet.com and it’s all there for you to see on one page. It show’s you what’s popular on Digg, Youtube, Mashable, Del.icio.us and even what’s popular on Twitter right now.

To these two sources I mix in any news, gossips or videos that I’ve come across and found interesting. Then if you want, you can mix in some tweets about what you’re up to.

Tweet In Blocks

One tweet on its own is going to have almost no effect as it’s going to get lost amongst the tweets of other people. What you can do to combat this is to tweet in blocks. In other words, you make multiple tweets in a short space of time so that your tweets get noticed more. You should tweet in blocks of 5 – 10 spaced 30 – 60 seconds apart. Every 5 or 6 tweets, do a promotional tweet that links to your blog, webinar or landing page. If you do it this way, people won’t think you’re on Twitter just to sell something because you’re also contributing all these tweets about interesting content.

Taking what was learnt from the When To Tweet section, we can now schedule when to do the blocks of tweets. Do a block of 5 – 10 tweets every morning, afternoon and night and make sure to include a promotional tweet in each block.

Like I said before, you never know when your followers are going to be online, so you might as well be tweeting 7 days a week, but if you want to have a day off, Sunday would be the best day. You could even use Sunday to prepare the week’s tweets in a notepad or word file. Personally, I have a Word template that I use to prepare the day’s tweets which I fill with fresh content everyday (or at least I try to).

Summary

Tweeting on Twitter to promote your MLM doesn’t have to be hard. As shown, you can basically borrow other people’s content and tweet about it to generate interest in what you have to offer. It doesn’t get any easier than that. Mix in some promotional tweets and the leads will start flowing. Keep in mind that you have to have a decent following (2000+) before you will get meaningful results. But keep at it and be consistent and Twitter can be a very powerful way to promote you or your MLM.

Twitter is massively popular and a great place to market you or your business. There are a lot of other people trying to do the same so you need to be doing it properly to stand out and be effective. Your first step is to get people to follow you. Here are 3 tips to getting followers for MLM properly.

1. Follow At The Right Times

For the newbies to Twitter, you first need to get followers for anyone to see what you’re tweeting. Basically the only way to get followers is to follow someone and hope they follow you back. You can increase the likely hood by following at the right times though. On weekdays, night time is the best time to follow, from about 6pm – 10pm. For Saturdays, afternoons are best. Sunday is the best day of the week to follow, with the best results coming at night, but Sunday afternoons will still get good results.

2. Following The Right Amount Of People

When you first start Twitter you don’t want to start off too aggressively, following hundreds of people a day. If you do, Twitter will ban your account. You need to start small (50 a day is fine) and build from there, up to 200 a day until you get to the 2000 followings threshold. Twitter have a limit to the amount of people you can follow (2000) to deter spammers and it can be tricky to get over it. Every time I tried to get over the 2000 followings threshold, Twitter would stop me from following new people and getting new followers. What I had to do was reduce the gap between my following amount and my follower amount. Once I had these amounts neutral, I was able to get over the 2000 threshold and never looked back. After you have passed 2000 followers, the rule of thumb is to follow 10% of your follower list each day. I.e. if you have 3000 followers, you would follow 300 new people per day.

If you are wondering how I balanced my following and followers list, I basically reduced the amount of people I was following. If the people I follow don’t follow back within about 72 hours, I unfollow them. There’s no point following people if they don’t follow you back unless you are genuinely interested in what they are Tweeting.

3. Following The Right People

Obviously if you’re a Network Marketer, you don’t want a whole bunch of gardeners following you. You want other Network Marketers or people who are interested in Network Marketing to follow you. The good news is there are ways to get the right followers.

The first way to get the right people following you is to follow people on the follower list of the leaders or “big players” in your industry. For example, if you were in the food or cooking industry, you could follow Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay.The people following these well known chefs are almost guaranteed to be interested in cooking in some form which is your target market. You could even do this for major companies.

To do this simply click on the “Find People” link at the top right of Twitter and search for the leaders in your industry. You then click on them to go to their profiles where you will see their list of followers who you can then follow. The great thing about these very well known people or companies is that they have hundreds or sometimes thousands of new people following them everyday, so you can come back each day to find fresh people to follow.

The second way to find the right people to follow is to use search.twitter.com. Here you can type in a keyword that relates to your market or industry and search for all the people who have mentioned that particular keyword in their tweets. So if you searched for “Best MLM” it would come up with all the people who have mentioned those words in one of their tweets. If you have an MLM product on offer, there is a good chance these people would be interested.

Travel is becoming more and more popular in the MLM industry and why not? People love to travel. There are a bunch of new companies being launched, one of them being resorts 360. Let’s find out how Resorts 360 stacks up.

What Is Resorts 360?

Resorts 360 is a MLM based Travel Club situated in Washington. They have memberships with access to discounts on over 6000 properties in 100 countries. The properties are a mixture of resorts, hotels, motels and time share properties.

Resorts 360 have yearly memberships available at $399 of which the sponsor keeps half ($200). The sponsor also gets 1/2 of the commission ($100) on the first 2 sales of the person they sponsored. The renewal of the yearly membership is $249 of which $100 is kept by the sponsor. So there is residual income potential in addition to the up front income. Resorts 360 also offer a life time membership which is $3995. The sponsor keeps $2000 and there is also a pass up structure as with the yearly membership. There are other rewards in addition to these.

One of the key benefits of Resorts 360 over the competitors is the ability to book properties through the resorts 360 members only website. Many of the competitors require you to phone up the resort or hotel and quote a booking number to get the discount.

Is Resorts 360 A Scam?

Resorts 360 is definitely NOT a scam. They are partnered with many large well known companies such as Sheraton, Marriott, Whyndham plus many others. For my fellow Australians, they have also partnered Harvey World Travel, a large 50+ year old travel agency with over 500 branches which adds further credibility. There is no way companies of this caliber would be associated with a scam.

Can I Make Money With Resorts 360?

You can make money with Resorts 360, that’s a given as there are people already doing so. Will you make money with Resorts 360? That’s another question. It all comes down to how you market Resorts 360. You could have the best opportunity in the world, but if you don’t know how to market it properly, you will have little success. On the other hand, if you have an average opportunity but are a great marketer you will have success.

What you need to do, is figure out how you are going to market your opportunity, whether it be Resorts 360 or some other company. Will you market with the traditional methods (warm market, cold calling etc)? Or will you use newer, more cutting edge online methods such as using Social Networking Sites, Video Marketing, PPC etc. Just as importantly, you need to decide who you are going to market to.

I’d recommend having your own website(s) and email list(s), because if you don’t, the companies (this applies to any Network Marketing Company) can take down the websites and email lists if they want to. In other words, you don’t own the websites or email lists and its not a proper business unless you own and are in control of these things.

Summary

Resorts 360 looks to be a good quality company that is competitive within its field. So if you know what you are doing, you will be able to make money with this opportunity and enjoy the benefits of belonging to the travel membership at the same time, but make sure you don’t neglect the marketing side of things.

Facebook is a great place to meet new people, whether it is for business or personal reasons. However when it comes to networking for business reasons, particularly MLM, I see people making some mistakes in their eagerness to sign up prospects. Here are 3 common mistakes people make on Facebook.

Leaving Their Profile Empty

The first thing people see of you when they become a friend is your profile. You definitely want to fill this in properly. It doesn’t have to be anything special. First, you need to put a decent picture up of yourself. All it needs to be is something positive. You don’t want to look angry or sad, just a picture where you look happy. Pictures of you on holiday or out with friends/family are great to have on your profile. Next, let them know what your interests and passions are. Then you should write a bit about yourself in the “About Me” section. Write a short story about yourself and why you are on facebook or why you are in MLM. People love to read a story. Put some of your personality into it and make it interesting, so people will remember you which surely is the first step to developing a relationship.

Bulk Messages

I’ve noticed that quite a few people send out messages to a list of their friends as a bulk message. This would be fine if you knew everyone you are sending the message to personally, but usually this is not the case. You might get a lead here and a sale there, but its going to push more people away than anything. I don’t like it when people do it to me, and I’ve noticed that people will sometimes reply angrily to these messages, so obviously other people don’t like them either.

If you want to be able to send out messages to a large amount of people at once, start a Facebook Group. You send out invites to your friends to join the group, which they have to reply to if they want to join. So when they receive a message from the group, it will be OK with them because you didn’t send them something out of the blue and without permission.

Forgetting To Network

Facebook is a networking site and you should treat it as such. Unfortunately, I see a lot of users who don’t really bother to network, they just pitch their opportunity without even trying to have a conversation. Instead you should be trying to connect with people. Find out what drives them and what they are having problems with.

If you have a lot of Facebook friends, then obviously you aren’t going to be able to have a personal conversation with all of them. But you should always be trying to offer value. You can do this by having your own group as mentioned above. Use the group to send a helpful message(s) every week. You can also post links on to your wall of interesting articles or videos you’ve come across, or if you’ve seen someone else make an interesting post, why not comment on it. It’s all about networking and interacting with people.
